Sales Director

Position Overview:
The Director of Sales is responsible for building a team and developing new sales, growing revenue, finding, and developing new business opportunities and expanding the brand. The Director of Sales will also oversee key sales accounts. The Director of Sales will recommend new products or services and lead a team to pursue the long-term goals of Jetcool. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, driven, results-oriented, articulate, polished, and comfortable coaching members of their team on cold calling. They will also need to be able to build sound relationships internally and in the marketplace. Navigate complex clients and build strong relationships with key decision makers.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer & Market Leadership (50% of role)
Collaborates with other members of Leadership Team ensuring consistent delivery of quality products and services. This includes the following:
Open and trusting communication.
Project updates.
Joint calls with current and perspective clients.
Ensuring one aligned JetCool message to the marketplace.
Build relationships with customers.
Lead sales efforts.
Manage key client relationships.
Expand the company's profile and reach.
Lead sales, customer-service, and client relationship teams.
Develop and strengthen internal and external relationships.
Develop proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs).
Leverage analytical, sales, marketing, research, and communication skills to achieve their goals.
Negotiate sound business deals and demonstrate excellent leadership and critical thinking skills.
Operational Leadership (10% of role)
‘Hands on’ leader who can balance executing tasks and managing long term strategic vision.
Operates with urgency, knows how to prioritize, and manage time which will position them to be able to consistently deliver on internal and external commitments made.
Develop and execute strategic plans designed to identify and deliver new business opportunities.
Financial Leadership (20% of role)
Manage the budget and resources of the Sales department.
Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and budgets to meet business objectives.
Participate in business planning processes that would include setting short and long-term goals and objectives.
Develop and manage sales pipeline and forecast with Senior Leadership
Deliver on sales projections.
People Leadership (20% of role)
Ensure the Sales team is constantly developing the skills required to deliver new programs before our competitors; engage with customers during the sales process and illustrate the art of the possible.
Build a culture of energy while maintaining urgency in delivering new products.
Identify talent gaps and work with Human Resources and Senior Leadership to recruit and onboard top talent.
Coach talent when needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field.
Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience with a proven history of both sales success and leading sales team.
A history of overachievement of sales targets.
Extensive knowledge of sales enablement tools, including Hubspot, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with company leadership, external partners, and external customers.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on practical, results-oriented solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication in the English language.
Highly organized, with strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of business software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Zoom, Adobe.
US Citizenship is required.
Experience working in the data center industry a plus.
