National Account Manager

Managing National and Regional accounts for the company and building relationships with key personnel. Networking within national accounts in order to secure all business opportunities. Investigating and resolving queries and issues raised by national accounts.
Role and Responsibilities
Calling on and developing programs with regional chains throughout the Central US, including C-Stores, Liquor Chains, and Grocery chains.
Identify opportunities for growth, present plan and tactics, execute to achieve agreed upon goals
Expand distribution by both number of accounts as well as number of SKUs within accounts
Expand display activity within off premise accounts
Expand shelf presence within off premise accounts
Ensure correct use of POS in off premise accounts
Work with distributor partners to ensure execution of local programs
Communicating programs and objectives with distributor
Tracking and reporting on sales, distribution and program success
Manage annual budget for tasting and promotions
Assisting with the daily management of national chain execution
Work closely with the Ole Smoky sales team to maximize success in these regional chains
Other activities as assigned by manager
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum 5 years adult beverage industry.
Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers, both verbal and written.
Sales presentation skills in off premise accounts
Large group presentation skills in distributor partner GSM situations
Effectively manage territory through time management, problem solving, and calculated execution
Self-motivated
Ability to evaluate information and prioritize actions in response to evaluation
Ability to integrate within a team while also working alone for a large percentage of the time
Efficiently manage POS and local sales activation budget
Efficiently manage monthly travel & entertainment budget
Experience with basic computer skills, Microsoft word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills
Proven track record of meeting sales quotas.
Wine / Spirit experience
Excellent management, leadership, and organizational skills.
Strong analytical, business math; pricing, margins, forecasting etc. and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding negotiation and consultative sales skills.
Effective communication and exceptional customer service skills.
Organization skills a must to work with state government entities.
Physical demands & work environment
Must be able to work around alcohol and alcohol consumption.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to lift a case of product, approximately 25 LBS and lift up to 45lbs.
Travel, long hours. Strong work ethic required.
Ability to work weekdays, weekends & some nights for event activations.
Additional Notes
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
Regularly required to sit and work on a computer.
Sometimes required to sit, stand, bend, lift and engage in repetitive motion.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Compensation & Benefits Package:
Base salary plus monthly commissions/bonus & car allowances
