**Job Description**

**AECOM** is seeking **Estimators** specializing in General Construction estimatingto be based in **New York, NY.** Will operate as an Estimator working directly with the NYC SCA on projects related to schools throughout New York City and the surrounding boroughs.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Confer with a broad range of technical, professional, and managerial personnel as well as designers, consultants, and contractors to coordinate and establish a detailed cost estimate.

+ Prepare and/or ensure the preparation of detailed cost estimates for all phases of design and/or construction.

+ Supervise the development of quantity surveys and cost evaluations relating to design documents, contract drawings, specifications, or contract changes.

+ Review and report on contract estimates prepared by private consultants; recommend if an estimate is appropriate for SCAs implementation.

+ Participate in cost negotiations.

+ Plan, assign and review the cost-estimating work of estimates.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

+ Due to the nature of the job, U.S. citizenship is required.

**Preferred Requirements** :

+ **Specializing in General Construction estimating**

+ **Excellence in calculating prime time, labor escalation, and unstandardized coefficient.**

+ Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in architecture, construction management, engineering, environmental services, or related coursework.

+ 8 years of experience as an estimator

**Additional Information**

+ Relocation is not available for this position

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $120,000.00.
