IT Specialist and Help Desk

Houston, TX, United States

Systems Chief is looking for an IT professional to join our team in our Houston office. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in getting project experience both onsite and remote (from our office location and your home - flexible).

Responsibilities :

Visit client company locations for varied onsite work, hardware installations, system updates, and infrastructure projects.

Coordinate strongly with team and project manager on tasks (ask lots of questions)

Perform tech support via ticketing system for clients (helpdesk related)

Assist with larger scale system migrations and/or networking projects

Field client calls for ticket creation

Develop your IT skills

Requirements:

College degree related to Computer Systems/IT

Working knowledge of Networking concepts, IT Infrastructure, and computer systems

Technically savvy with strong communication skills

Experience troubleshooting issues and achieving solutions

The ability to explain to a non-technical person in a way they will understand

Preferred: Cisco or similar qualifying certifications
