Description We are seeking an exceptional researcher for a Gut Mucosal Immunology Scientist position to play a critical role in leading our basic science and drug discovery efforts. In this exciting opportunity, the successful candidate will work at the interface of mucosal immunology and microbiome research, employing multi-omics and in vivo approaches to identify mechanisms related to host-microbiota interactions that regulate gut inflammation. The ideal applicant is creative and curious, resilient in their pursuit of high-risk-high-reward research, and has an outstanding track record of success evidenced by high-quality publications in relevant leading journals.
Responsibilities Design and execute human studies at the intersection of gut mucosal immunology, metabolomics, proteomics, and microbiome research in support of our drug discovery efforts
Integrate unique sets of multi-omic data to deepen our understanding of how the gut barrier function works in both health and disease
Participate in collaborative research with our academic and industrial partners
Stay up-to-date on developments in gut mucosal immunology and microbiome research
Manage and train junior researchers on established protocols and analyses
Analyze experimental data and communicate results in both written and verbal formats ( e . g ., publications, scientific conferences, internal meetings)
Requirements PhD in immunology, physiology, microbiology, or related field. Candidates with a BS/MS with 6+ years of relevant experience are also encouraged to apply
Expertise in mucosal immunology with an up-to-date understanding of mucosal-microbiota-metabolite interactions
Experience using rodent models is a plus
Exceptional attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced work environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong team-player who is also comfortable working independently
