Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll for employees accurately and on time.
Ability to process weekly prevailing wage jobs to certifiy weekly payroll for union employees.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
Handle payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
Maintain and update payroll records, including deductions, garnishments, and benefits.
Prepare and submit payroll reports.
Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate employee data.
Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
Assist in year-end payroll activities including W-2 processing.
Provide support during audits and other compliance activities.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing.
Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
Proficiency in payroll software LCP Tracker, DIR, Elations, etc.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Pay: $30 - $35 per hr.
