The Sales Manager is responsible for the management, coordination and communication of sales activities within a designated territory within the larger region. The Sales Manager supports the Company vision through ownership and accountability for the territorys overall sales and profitability; provides leadership and coaching of the sales staff, within the geographic area; leads and drives sales team to execute their job duties by creating a harmonious, challenging, rewarding and fun culture; ensure team is maintaining excellent customer service; research and develop strategies and plans that identify sales opportunities for new and existing customers.

This role directs, mentors and coaches the sales team to achieve objectives, in a way that clearly defines their role and responsibilities and sets challenging yet attainable expectations; analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs and results; directly manages major and critical developing client accounts and coordinates the management of all other accounts.

As a key leadership role in the organization you will need to possess and demonstrate our core values of being accountable, leading with a winning spirit, driving innovation and putting people first.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following; other duties may be assigned.

* Assess local market conditions, identify current and prospective sales opportunities and develop forecasts, financial objectives and business plans for the region

* Implement sales and profitability plans and maintenance of account plans

* Ensure that all areas of work performance or departments are properly staffed and directed

* Responsible for talent development of team including provide training, coaching, development, performance evaluations, and motivation to team

* Communicate effectively with other regions, departments, and senior leaders both in Business Unit and Globally by sharing information on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities, and needs

* Provide accurate forecasting for sales, budget and inventory planning purposes

* Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly

* Collaborate with the Corporate Credit and Collections team in extending and enforcing credit policy and ensuring account credit limits are satisfactory to meet the purchasing needs of the customer

* Ensure the safekeeping of company assets, including structures, equipment, inventory, and cash

* Participate actively in community, business and industry organizations to build a network of contacts that improve the presence and reputation of the region and company in the local area

* Between 20% to 50% of time/effort would be focused on management of key accounts depending on the number of direct reports.

**Requirements**

**Qualifications** To perform this job successfully, the individual must possess:

* University degree in business or related field preferred

* Minimum of 5 years of direct work experience including some level of management and/or supervisory experience preferred

* Experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning.

* Strong knowledge of retail and/or commercial sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.

* Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.

* Excellent teamwork and team building skills.

* Exceptional leadership skills

* Track record of meeting and/or exceeding sales goas/budget

* Ability to travel regionally

* Demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills

* Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

**People Leader Responsibilities**

Directly supervises employees within the sales department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.

**?Working Conditions**

* Road Warrior 5 days a week in field

* Manual dexterity required to use laptop computer and peripherals.

* Lifting or moving up to 25lbs may be required.

* Remote office location
