The Lone Star team is looking for a leader who can bring Lone Star standards to the highest level. We are looking for a Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Manager who is capable and willing to author excellent and comprehensive development review, management, and assistance in all issues/tasks involving health and safety including but not limited to safety committee tasks, trainings, and documentation. This candidate would also demonstrate accuracy in reviewal, management, and assistance of all issues/tasks involving company compliance including but not limited to Avetta, IsnetWorld, CORE, and ISO-9001. The successful hire would also actively pursue methods of improving company safety culture through correcting current issues, advocating for employee safety, and executing improvement tasks.
Responsibilities of both positions open.
1. Organize, manage, and complete tasks assigned by the safety committee, HR manager, and Leadership.
2. Assist in organizing, managing, and planning safety training
3. Author, organize, file, and review safety policies, procedures, and manuals
4. Organize, manage, and communicate all compliance and safety related projects
5. Organize, manage, train employees on, communicate needs, and maintain CORE
6. Organize, manage, and maintain compliant status in compliance platforms like Avetta, IsnetWorld, and CORE/ISO 9001:2015.
7. Manage all internal safety and health communications verbally, written, and posted
8. Communicate internally (employees) and externally (government bodies) on all safety and health concerns as reviewed and approved to do so by leadership
9. To appraise vendors on a regular basis and to score vendors on a points system and document for QHSE audits
10. Conduct/oversee production quality tests and record collection
11. Conduct internal audits and manage external auditors
Qualifications
1. Background in Industrial Safety, Safety or Industrial Engineering, or a related field
2. 10+ years of experience administering or coordinating occupational safety programs
3. 10+ years of experience with evaluation of practices and procedures
4. 10+ years of experience managing compliance platforms like Avetta, IsnetWorld, and CORE/ISO 9001.
5. 10+ years of experience demonstrating understanding of OSHA principles and industry safety standards
6. 10+ years of experience with policy writing and review
7. Expert knowledge of Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Knowledge:
1 ISO-9001- Expert with established ability to conduct internal audits and manage auditors
2 Knowledge of operating compliance platforms like Avetta, IsnetWorld, and CORE.
3 Applicable Manufacturing and Field Service OSHA principles and competencies
4 Understanding of Industry Safety Standards
5 Written communication for policies and internal standardizations
6 federal and state laws and regulations relating to safety administration including OSHA
7 Principles, practices, techniques, and methods of modern safety administration and employee safety training
8 Evaluation practices and procedures
