The Safety & Health Manager is responsible for strategically providing effective safety management services for all field employees. Assist in developing safety regulations/standards and policies and procedures with knowledge of company products and services.
Key Responsibilities
Assists at all levels with preparation and delivery of formal and informal safety programs for employees and customers.
Conducts/Coordinates safety audit and inspections, prepares detailed reports, assists location management with action plan development and conducts follow-up until complete.
Evaluates and conducts incident investigations and corrective actions.
Liaison as necessary with other internal departments or external organizations/relevant authorities, and assistance and cooperation concerning audits and remedial actions.
Assists in the safety requirements at location startups.
Develops personal and professional skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere such as meetings, conferences, seminars as determined by the Safety Department.
Manage the health and safety regulatory programs and compliance; strategy development; site assessments, injury reduction programs; and best practice sharing.
Track, report, benchmark and trend safety data; conduct root cause and other analysis to reduce incidents; establish metrics and report results to management monthly and provide appropriate feedback and results to senior management.
Advise and support operations leadership regarding effective execution of programs.
Promote safety and health policies and best practices to reduce losses and liabilities.
Coordinate outside specialty services (e.g. Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Medicine) as needed
Conduct regular field assessments, management training, inspections and audits.
Recommend process improvements
Lead special projects to improve overall safety and health programs
Perform other duties as assigned

Creative with learning/training concepts and principles with a knowledge of adult learning
General knowledge of the OSHA and applicable state and local requirements relative to Trench and Excavation Shoring and Shielding.
Advanced knowledge of all operational processes; including shop, yard, and deliveries/pickups
Ability to travel up to 50% within designated region
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
Minimum (6) six years' experience performing safety training or equipment safety operator training
Professional Safety Certification (CHST, ASP, CSP) preferred. (Must obtain certifications in line with development plant)
Must have a valid driver’s license.
