Job Overview:
The Employment Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for defending and litigating lawsuits involving employment-related claims, providing pre-litigation and litigation avoidance advice to clients, and representing employers in various legal proceedings. The role will also involve acting as a business partner to clients on employment law issues.
Duties:
Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
Represent employers in court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and various employment-related cases.
Provide pre-litigation and litigation avoidance advice to clients, offering strategic guidance to meet client's employee retention and recruitment goals.
Act as a business partner to clients, providing legal advice and guidance on employment law issues.
Demonstrate an understanding of current agency procedures at both state and federal levels.
Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills.
Pay attention to detail and maintain a commitment to excellence.
Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Possess strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
Uphold professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork within the firm.
Requirements:
JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
Current Massachusetts Bar admission or ability to obtain admission; admission in ME, RI, or VT considered a plus.
