Employment Law and Litigation Associate

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney to join the Employment Practice and General Litigation groups of one of the most well-respected and established midsize law firms in Boston, MA . The candidate must have a minimum of 2+ years of law firm experience handling litigation and/or employment counseling for clients. Experience with liability and tort defense is a plus.

Responsibilities:
• Represent a wide variety of employers on a range of employment issues, including discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, whistleblower, wage & hour, breach of contracts, as well as other areas.
• Advise and counsel clients to minimize risk of litigation.
• Draft and respond to position statements.
• Actively participate in investigations.
• Counsel clients on employee handbooks and policies.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights (RICHR), and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
• Participate in other general business litigation and dispute resolution matters for firm clients such as representing individuals, owners, contractors, doctors, nurses, hospitals, property managers, restaurants, hotels and businesses in state and federal court.
Qualifications:
• JD required
• 2+ years of litigation experience or employment counseling experience in a law firm setting
• Admitted to Massachusetts bar (or ability to quickly obtain admission); Rhode Island and/or New Hampshire bar admissions are also a plus
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong research, writing, analytical and communication skills
