Counsel clients on effective IP strategy options.
Perform patent procurement activities, including:
Preparation and prosecution of complex patent applications.
Managing a global patent portfolio across multiple jurisdictions by instructing foreign patent counsel in the prosecution of foreign counterpart applications.
Consulting with inventors, technical experts, and patent portfolio managers.
Conduct IP-related due diligence for opinions, including patentability, freedom to operate, and infringement and invalidity analyses.
Engage in patent counseling, procurement, and opinion development.
Collaborate on licensing and enforcement activities.
Requirements:
Practical experience and in-depth knowledge of Biology or Biotechnology.
Good standing in the bar(s) where licensed to practice law.
Active USPTO Registration.
Superior technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Superior academic record.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
