Job Overview:
The Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for supporting the firm's growing patent litigation practice. The role requires a self-motivated, confident, and personable team player with outstanding professional and academic credentials. Prior patent litigation experience is preferred.
Duties:
Represent clients in intellectual property litigation matters, with a focus on patent litigation.
Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
Assist with case management, including attending hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
Collaborate with partners and other team members on case strategy and client counseling.
Maintain organized case files and documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Computer Engineering.
4-6 years of experience in patent litigation.
Admitted to practice in their respective state.
Patent Bar admission is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (preferred).
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Admission to the state bar.
Patent Bar admission is a plus.
Skills:
Strong legal research and writing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
