Sales Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a FiberLight Sales Engineer. This role will primarily focus on providing technical support for Enterprise sales and public sector initiatives. As a key member of the sales team, you will play a crucial role in understanding customer needs, designing solutions, and ensuring the successful implementation of FiberLight's solutions.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate in-depth technical expertise in FiberLight's products and solutions.
Provide pre-sales technical support to the sales team.
Collaborate with sales to understand customer requirements and design tailored technical solutions.
Develop and present comprehensive technical proposals to potential clients.
Engage with customers to analyze networking requirements and troubleshoot technical issues.
Guide customers in the implementation of FiberLight solutions.
Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams.
Contribute to the development of technical documentation and proposals.
Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and partners.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless communication.
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics.
Provide insights to contribute to strategic decision-making.
Travel up to 25% per month is possible including trade show participation and customer meetings.
Required Skills:
Proven experience in a sales engineering role within the telecommunications industry.
Proficient in networking protocols and fiber optics technology.
Experience with Channel Partner Sales or Technology Solutions Distributors / Brokers industry is preferred.
Solid understanding of Enterprise and Public sector networking requirements.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying technical information effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address customer challenges.
Customer-centric approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development.
Self-motivated and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience with Office 365 Suite with specific advanced skills in Visio and Excel.
Previous experience using GIS software for fiber network management.
Advanced Google Earth skills are preferred.
Work in a fast-paced environment as a liaison between Operations, Engineering and Sales Departments.
Industry recognized certifications are a plus. Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, and Fujitsu are ideal.
