As an IT Specialist at Castles Technology, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the company's IT infrastructure and ensuring that all technology systems are running smoothly. You will work closely with various departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency. This role requires a blend of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.

Respond to requests in person, via phone, or electronically.

Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues

System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance of servers, workstations, and network components.

Ensure all systems are up to date with the latest patches and security updates.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Network Management: Ensure network security and optimize network performance.

Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.

Software Management: Install, configure, and update software applications.

Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with company policies.

Provide training and support for new software implementations.

Project Management: Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.

Work with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of products and services.

Document IT processes and procedures.

Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect IT systems from cyber threats.

Monitor security breaches and respond to incidents promptly.

Educate team members on cybersecurity best practices.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.

Communicate effectively with non-technical staff to ensure they understand IT processes and procedures.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology

3-5 years of experience in IT Support

Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

Experience effectively prioritizing deliverables and priorities.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

The ability and willingness to assist those less technical with troubleshooting.
