Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Proposal Manager with over 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The Proposal Manager will be responsible for overseeing the proposal development process from inception to submission, ensuring high-quality, compelling, and compliant proposals. This role requires exceptional project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to write and edit proposal content as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in proposal management within a [specific industry, if applicable] environment. This position is remote 3 days per week.
Responsibilities: Proposal Management:
Lead and manage the entire proposal development process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating all proposal activities.
Develop and enforce proposal schedules, outlines, and compliance matrices to ensure timely and compliant submissions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, operations, finance, and technical staff, to gather necessary information for proposal content.
Content Development:
Write, edit, and proofread proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with solicitation requirements.
Develop compelling and persuasive proposal narratives that effectively communicate the company's value proposition and capabilities.
Ensure all proposal content is tailored to the specific requirements and evaluation criteria of each solicitation.
Proposal Strategy:
Analyze RFPs, RFIs, and other solicitation documents to identify key requirements and evaluation criteria.
Develop proposal strategies, themes, and win themes in collaboration with the business development team.
Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform proposal development and strategy.
Review and Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough reviews of proposal drafts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and high-quality content.
Organize and lead proposal review meetings, such as color team reviews, to gather feedback and refine proposal content.
Implement best practices and continuous improvement processes for proposal development.
Coordination and Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all proposal-related activities and communications.
Maintain clear and effective communication with internal stakeholders throughout the proposal process.
Track and report on proposal progress, risks, and issues to senior management.
$120,000 - $160,000 a year
