DESCRIPTION
As the Sales Director, you will be pivotal in maximizing sales and distribution opportunities for Fortune's Fool in Indiana and Kentucky. Your responsibilities will include overseeing sales activities, planning, budget analysis and management, distributor management, and performance. Your drive and execution in the market will be instrumental in delivering our sales and profit goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Expand distribution and annual contract value (ACV) in all business channels: groups, independents, grocery, and on-premise.
Manage day-to-day relationships with Distributor partners.
Educate and train distributor sales teams through regularly scheduled “work-withs” and general sales meetings.
Ensure proper execution of all promotional activities at the store level—including, but not limited to, communication with the retailer, securing and building displays, gaining additional product placement, planogram execution, and placement of point of sale.
Participate in local and regional crew drives or sales blitzes to achieve market development goals.
Develop and maintain relationships with assigned national and regional accounts, including initiating new relationships.
Observe competitive market activity and evaluate distributor execution against initiatives.
Provide weekly recaps for accounts sold and visited and follow-up directives.
Manage all travel and entertainment (T&E) expenses and budgets.
Successfully work toward exceeding volume goals in specific territories.
Remain knowledgeable of all laws, regulations, and policies that govern the market and keep management informed of all information about changes.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum five years of relevant experience in the Spirits industry
Proven ability to establish and build relationships, manage distributors, and work with wholesalers.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to speak in front of groups.
Knowledge of the federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing your activity.
Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

Travel: Significant travel within the assigned regions. Up to 50% travel with overnight potential
Must be able to travel and proactively plan out your sales routes, arrangements, and scheduling
Must be available to work evening and weekend events as they come up.
Position requires using a personal vehicle and a valid driver’s driver's
Ability to secure and maintain auto-liability insurance in accordance with state laws.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
