1 Full-Time Technology Support Specialists
PURPOSE: The job of Technology Support Specialist was established for the purpose/s of maintaining and improving the District's technology systems by working with the technology team, teachers, and staff to make sure all needed technology related equipment is installed, maintained, and disposed of as the needs of the District change. Reports to Director of Technology.
Overall Goals:
Collaborate with the Technology Department to design and implement an effective technology plan to ensure systems are running at optimal performance.
Ensure that staff can use the technology in their classrooms to raise student performance
Ensuring the integrity of data entered in student information system.
Provide meaningful feedback to the rest of the Technology team as to ways to improve technology moving forward.
Performance Responsibilities: Install new hardware and software including but limited to patches, OS installs, apps, and PCs.
Help maintain all District systems including by not limited to PCs, IPads, Copiers.
Responsible for keeping an accurate inventory of all District equipment
Assist and support teachers with hardware, software, & traditional resources, and classroom/curriculum/instructional related technologies and practices.
Identify and troubleshoot problems as they arise
Research new ideas to better improve the District systems.
Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community.
Assist with development, refinement, and implementation of District Technology Plan.
Assist in the review and selection of educational software and hardware.
Assist in the maintenance of the technology websites and social media.
Prepares documentation (e.g. user guides, recommendations, lesson plans, reports, instructions, reflections, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
Meet as necessary with Director of Technology to discuss topics and trends.
Respect and maintain confidentiality in the performance of all assigned duties.
Perform other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Director of Technology or other District Administrators.
Qualifications: High School Diploma required. Working towards a bachelor's degree or Computer Science Certificates preferred.
Good communications skills
Familiar with Office 365, Windows 10, iPads, and Intune.
Can lift 25 pounds and can work in an environment that will require you to be on your feet for long periods of time, climb ladders, and get underneath desks.
Reliable transportation as travel between buildings may be required
