About the role:
Metropolitan Commercial Bank (the "Bank") is offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic IT team, performing a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. The candidate will be responsible for the entire business analysis lifecycle, while also contributing to project management, supporting business applications, and actively participating in all the phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for innovative projects in an Agile environment. The position reports directly to the manager of the Application Support and Development team, under the Chief Digital Officer (CDO). This position is ideal for a candidate who will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Duties and responsibilities of the job include the following (but is not limited too):
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Business Analysis:
Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements for IT projects.
Conduct user interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand stakeholder needs.
Develop user stories, use cases, and other business process documentation.
Identify and analyze business needs, opportunities, and risks.
Create and maintain business requirement documents (BRDs), software requirements specifications (SRS), business rules mapping, data flow diagrams (DFDs) and entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs).
Develop and maintain business glossaries to ensure consistent terminology.
Project Management:
Partner with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and resources.
Develop project plans and manage project deliverables.
Track project progress and identify and mitigate potential risks.
Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Monitor projects and ensure the project stays on track.
Business Application Support:
Provide ongoing support for existing business applications.
Analyze and troubleshoot user issues with applications.
Develop and maintain user documentation for applications.
Conduct user training sessions on new or updated applications.
SDLC Involvement:
Actively participate in all phases of the SDLC, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-implementation support.
Work closely with development teams to ensure technical solutions meet business requirements.
Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure applications meet user needs.
Participate in group development projects. Coordinate with IT and business users, adhere to deadlines, and meet all assigned tasks.
Assist with the implementation of innovative changes that improve workflow and bring efficiency. These initiatives may be either requested or self-initiated as part of continuous improvement.
Thoroughly document all activities according to relevant policies and standards.

Preferred experience, education, and qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or project manager, within an IT environment.
Proven experience in eliciting, documenting, and analyzing business requirements.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Potential Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 annually
This salary range only reflects base wages and does not include benefits, bonus, or incentive pay. Salary bands are purposefully wide ranging to encompass the different factors considered in determining where a candidate falls in the range, including but not limited to, seniority, performance, experience, education, and any other legitimate, non-discriminatory factor permitted by law.
