Our facility in Billerica, Massachusetts is located in the metropolitan Boston area and specializes in the design and manufacturing of advanced photonics products based on MEMS and other micro-scale optical devices. Our unique technology enables the highest system performance in the most compact and cost-effective formats in a variety of applications.
This site's Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) products are laser-based imaging tools that have transformed ophthalmic care and made notable impacts on patients in cardiology, dermatology, oncology, gastroenterology, and other medical specialties.
We are presently seeking a Temporary Corporate Accounting Manager to join our Accounting team, located in Billerica, MA.This position requires a motivated individual who can perform a variety of accounting and finance tasks as the organization grows.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Oversee all aspects of Corporate general accounting, including analysis, reconciliation, journal entries, and the month-end close process;
Develop and lead processes to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient accounting of month-end, quarterly, and year-end close procedures;
Supervise and mentor Corporate accounting staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement;
Maintain internal control compliance and identify areas for improvement;
Assist with the coordination and management of the annual audit;
Support initiatives to automate and streamline accounting processes, leveraging technology solutions where applicable;
Collaborate with the IS Team and other partners on software and system enhancements,
Assist Corporate FP&A team with budgeting and periodic financial projections as needed;
Assist in special projects and key strategic initiatives, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
CPA certification or advanced degree preferred;
5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role;
Strong knowledge and experience with US GAAP and internal controls;
Proficiency in Excel required, experience with SAP preferred;
Experience with Blackline, AuditBoard, OneStream, a plus;
Experience supervising accounting staff, conducting performance evaluations, and identifying training needs for employees;
Flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
