You will be the lead engineer designing, building, and supporting the Build and Infrastructure Platform. This platform will consist of workflow automation of common tasks, global inventory management, integrations with global shipping providers, and integrations with global data center providers. You will work with department management to understand platform requirements and feature requests and then turn those into an executable technical design.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement software platforms to automate and allow others to automate common tasks
Oversee the data model for the Build and Infrastructure Platform
Design, implement, and support the Platform software
Work with team management to define requirements for the software, then development technical designs for yourself or others to implement
Work with team members to have well defined tickets for task execution related to platform development.
Design and implement (with the help of the team) software QA processes and tooling
What Will Make You Stand Out (Minimum Qualifications)
10+ years Software Engineering experience
2+ years of experience with MySQL and/or Postgres database administration
Experience with large-scale data center installation and management
BS degree Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preffered Qualifications)
2+ years of experience design and building platforms for the management and operation of large-scale cloud infrastructure (including physical data centers)
2+ years of experience designing and implementing a Service Oriented Architecture
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, both orally and written
Experience with API documentation tools such as Swagger or Postman
Excellent knowledge of Linux or BSD system administration.
Experience with Temporal or similar distributed, durable, queueing systems
