The Sales Manager will join and lead our fast-growing Mid Market sales team. This individual will work together with the VP of Sales to spearhead our growth in North America and showcase our market-leading products and live our mission to reimagine the modern workspace. This is a great opportunity for a passionate sales manager with an entrepreneurial spirit.

The right individual is very collaborative but can also operate independently and can prioritize their own day without a lot of close oversight. You will manage a mix of inbound and outbound sales activities to hit and exceed quota. The revenue mix will consist of both expanding existing accounts as well as closing new business.

**What youll do:**

* Manage a team of sellers based in New York and San Francisco who focuses on Mid Market accounts (200 - 2,500 employees)

* Coach sellers to become better at their craft and help them level up their sales skills to advance in their careers

* Manage by numbers, but understand that one size does not fit all when it comes to having someone on your team achieve at their fullest potential

* Be your teams advocate internally to ensure that they have the right environment, tools, and support to be successful

* Manage and continue to optimize a mostly inbound sales process where the average time to close is 30-90 days

* Develop a strong understanding of our key differentiators and the competitive landscape

* Manage pipeline and sales activities with an ability to accurately forecast close rates

* Work closely with the Sales Leaders at ROOM to execute an ambitious market penetration strategy

* Make sure that your team keeps Salesforce clean and up to date to help us understand what is and isnt working

**Who you are**:

* You have 3-5 years experience of in managing a sales team and a proven track record of success helping the team hit quota for both new business and expanding existing accounts

* You are used to a high-paced sales environment where your passion for sales always shines through by treating your team and customers with respect

* Experience in managing a mix of inbound and outbound activities to improve the sales process

* You understand that the way to reach your goals goes listening to the customer first and coaching your team to do the same

* Youre naturally curious and passionate about the "workspace of tomorrow" and how companies will work and strive in the open office environment.

* Youre data-driven and can pay attention to the details needed for data entry integrity

* You operate well in fast-moving environments without a lot of oversight
