Job Description:

Work with Sales, Business Development team and Growth Marketing to build pipeline to achieve company goals.

Develop a strong onboarding process for the business development function.

Facilitate and support career ladder movement of team members through the sales development function to sales and/or marketing

Provide day to day coaching, guidance, expert advice, and management of business development staff including 1:1 meetings, team meetings, shadow sessions, and role play sessions

Participate as part of the marketing leadership team on planning, strategy, budget and strategic tactics.

Work closely with the internal and external partners to identify and qualify appropriate leads.

Cultivate and maintain positive and productive relationships with internal customers (sales), external customers and prospects.

Create incentive/reward programs as well as improvement programs for business development staff.

Responsible for the creation of commission plans as well as quarterly payouts – expected to liaise with relevant parties.

Work with marketing team to create new and localize global content and customer stories to be used for business development outreach.

Understand the Go-to-Market strategy and our ideal customer profile within each business area.

Work closely with marketing operations & data management for all prospects, customers, contacts, and campaigns in Salesforce and external tools, ensuring all communication is documented, information is accurate, and documents are saved.

Analyze sales development performance analytics, reports, and dashboards to ensure KPIs are being met.

Requirements:

Excellent skills in developing, mentoring, and leading teams.

A flexible, motivated self-starter and team player, with the ability to work both independently and closely with other team members.

Excellent problem resolution, negotiation, and communication skills (listening & verbal & written).

Achievement driven (performance focused), proven track record of achieving measurable monthly lead development/sales goals.

Strong and effective time management and organizational skills (daily, weekly and monthly planning).

Familiarity of a Sales CRM, (preferably Salesforce)

Experience presenting and leading team calls and meetings

An understanding of account-based marketing and sales strategies

Familiarity with CRM and Sales Enablement Tools (preferably Salesforce)

Familiarity of databases (preferably ZoomInfo)

5+ years in leading business development and/or sales teams

Ability to navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers and determine buying process
