Senior Director, Talent Management

Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Senior Director, Talent Management is to apply Human Resources expertise to assigned business groups for our national, growing real estate company, with an emphasis on employee relations, performance management and employee development. This role provides leaders and managers with advice and guidance on strategies and approaches that lead to stronger employee engagement, employee performance, and higher performing teams. The Senior Director will oversee the Talent Management team. The Senior Director will also contribute to initiatives that strengthens The RMR Groups brand as an employer of choice in the markets we serve.
Responsibilities:
Employee Relations
Ensure day-to-day application, communication, and implementation of HR policies and programs.
Participate in employee relations management activities.
Provide guidance and/or serve as liaison between staff and appropriate specialists to identify courses of action related to recruitment, retention, performance management, legal issues, compensation, and training and development.
Support managers in all HR-related matters consistent with the values of RMR, ensuring prompt communication and resolution of issues.
Performance Management and Employee Development
Consult with business partners and help them pursue strategies and tactics that engage and develop their leadership team and staff.
Help leaders translate employee engagement feedback into actions, practices, and programs that strengthen employee engagement and performance.
Ensure leaders take full advantage of RMR programs that support employee engagement, development, and performance.
Ensure that leaders establish practices that ensure employees receive ongoing coaching and feedback.
Work with managers to ensure appropriate and meaningful feedback on performance reviews and the further development of employees.
Support the Performance Review process.
Help leaders define training plans and programs that are specific to their department.
Recruitment
Support recruitment with senior level critical roles.
Leadership and Organizational Development
Consult with leaders on organizational structures and alignment.
Facilitate succession planning and other talent conversations. Counsel leaders on development strategies for emerging leaders
Debrief annual engagement and other analytics that help leaders identify actions to improve their organizations.
Provide HR Updates to business leaders.
Other
Fully understand articulate The RMR Groups compensation and benefits programs so that candidates and employees understand their full value. Highlight how our compensation and benefits programs differentiate RMR from other employers.
Actively participate in the design, planning, and rollout of HR initiatives as per the VP of HR.
Leverages workforce insights and analytics in order to focus the businesss leaders on relevant people management issues while assessing potential strategies and solutions.
Protect interests of Company and its employees in accordance with human resources policies, federal and state laws, and regulations.
Represent RMR in networking, recruiting, and professional organizations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
8 + years experience in a high-volume environment. Masters in Business Administration or advanced HR degree preferred.
3+ years of management experience preferred
Understanding of HR policies and practices; prior experience as a Senior Recruiter, HR Business Partner, and/or HR Generalist.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, i.e., poised and engaging, empathetic communication style that can enliven, engage, and positively impact individuals and groups.
Ability to partner with all levels of hiring managers, providing a collaborative approach to hiring strategy and employee relations.
Ability to influence and present to employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to act quickly and efficiently with a high degree of professionalism.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to travel, as required.
