National Account Manager

The National Account Manager is responsible for managing, enhancing, and growing FedPro’s key customer accounts such as The Home Depot, Lowe’s and NAPA Auto Parts. Essential Job Functions:

Supports all account management activities related to multiple key accounts (such as The Home Depot) sales and relationship growth for our business.

Provides hands-on management with account relationships to ensure the needs of the customer are met, upcoming opportunities are realized and communicated effectively within the internal FedPro team.

Develop new business and retention strategies through product selection, pricing, merchandising and supply chain capabilities.

Manage account for performance and profitability per budget and company goals.

Anticipate customer needs and proactively address those needs.

Support cross functional teams within Marketing and Operations to help communicate new product opportunities and customer initiatives.

Prepare and hold regular business reviews and planning meetings with customers.

Create and maintain pricing files for customer.

Engage in customer and industry events.

Maintains detailed records and prepares communications and reports as needed.

Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff, vendors and the general public.

Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.

Required Qualifications:

Education, Training and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or closely related field.

5-7 years in a senior sales role with experience calling on the building products/ specialty chemical industries. (Sales Director, National Account Manager, Key Account Manager.)

Must have experience working with The Home Depot and other industry specific accounts.

Knowledge, Skills and abilities: Demonstrates problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.

Knowledgeable of the current retail market to continue to grow large key accounts.

Works efficiently and manages time effectively.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the use of the internet.

Developed analytical and problem solving abilities.

Ability to read, write and interpret reports and business correspondence for a diverse audience.

Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.

High degree of initiative and independent judgment.

Ability to express self effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills.

Self-motivated, proactive and solution focused.

Ability to tactfully and effectively deal with public and staff in a personable and professional manner.

Maintains a high level of energy and a consistent positive attitude.

Ability to work alongside other employees within all levels of the organization.

Physical Demands:

Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment. Requires ability to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files. Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. independently. Up to 30% of travel is required, with occasional national. May require evening and weekend hours as business needs demand.
