The Role
The Senior Sales Executive role at RFX is perfect for an individual who has at least 2 years of experience in the freight brokerage space. The ideal candidate should know all aspects of moving a full truckload - from the customer side of landing business to the carrier side of knowing the market and booking trucks. We expect our sales reps to be comfortable managing shipments from start to finish but will support you with resources to focus your strengths in the areas you love. With an uncapped commission structure, you will lay the groundwork for financial freedom and build your own book of business while having the ability to recruit, train and hire support staff as needed.
General Responsibilities
Serve as the primary day to day contact for your customers
Own freight acceptance & commitments to awards, and SPOT opportunities
Manage load volumes and work with your team on execution
Develop knowledge of your accounts to include all shipping points, receiving points, and create assessments of account opportunity
Make outbound cold calls and generate new leads
Close new accounts and upsell existing accounts
Problem-solve through any issues that occur before, during or after transit
Negotiate rates and sell new prospects on working with RFX
Close major accounts and help encourage peers
Be responsible for your performance of the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing
Our Ideal Candidate 2 + years' experience in FTL freight brokerage
Pricing/Negotiation Knowledge
FTL Experience (Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed)
Leadership qualities to mentor and train new hires
Ability to problem solve, think quickly and make educated business decisions
Highly motivated with the ability to aggressively pursue and close business
Superior written, presentation and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results
Strong ability to persuade, motivate and influence others
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time effectively
