The Role

Proofpoint is looking for an exceptional Senior Product Marketing to drive go-to-market activities for its Cloud Security products. You thrive in a customer-focused, collaborative, and results-oriented environment. You will be the expert on our buyers and competitors. You’ll use that expertise to develop product positioning, messaging and content that highlights differentiated value to reach target buyers. You will partner closely with product management, sales and marketing to build the go-to-market plan and execute that plan by creating high-impact assets and enabling the field to drive business growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, an accomplished B2B technology product / solution marketer, and team collaborator.

Your day-today

Establish go-to-market priorities that drive revenue growth for the Cloud Security business

Be the expert on our buyers – who they are, how they buy, and their buying criteria.

In partnership with product management, marketing and sales, lead the planning and launch of new capabilities, releases, and products, and manage the cross-functional execution of the plan.

Understand the competitive landscape – be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.

Present content to internal and external audiences, including sales kickoff, sales training, executive briefing center, user conference, webinars, industry conferences and analyst briefings

Create compelling messaging and content including solution presentations, website content, videos, blogs, collateral and more to accelerate the buyer’s journey

Understand and support our sales channels; create and deliver effective enablement content that helps sellers identify opportunities and communicate our unique value

Build strong working relationships across product management, corporate marketing and sales to achieve business goals.

What You Bring To The Team

8 + years of marketing, product marketing or product management experience in cybersecurity or enterprise IT.

Passion and curiosity about the buyer/customer and developing value-driven messaging and content.

Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and communication skills across all levels of the organization and with third parties.

Gifted storyteller with excellent writing and presentation skills who can succinctly translate technical features into business benefits that resonate with customers.

Analytical mindset with a bias toward action and getting things done.

Proven experience marketing to enterprises and technical buyers

Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, and a solid writer.

Excellent people and management skills to interact with your team, peers, management, cross-functional teams and third parties

Base Pay Range 157,650.00 - 231,220.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska

Base Pay Range 129,000.00 - 189,200.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above

Base Pay Range 117,600.00 - 172,480.00 USD
