Job Description: As a Business Development Specialist , you'll play a pivotal role in our team by connecting with potential clients and setting the stage for meaningful relationships. We're seeking someone with a knack for sales appointment-setting strategies and a genuine understanding of the New Zealand market.

Responsibilities:

Minimum of 3 years of experience related to the role.

Identify and research potential clients or leads within the New Zealand target market.

Contact potential clients through various communication channels such as phone calls, emails, or social media messages.

Determine the suitability and interest of prospects by asking relevant questions and assessing their needs.

Coordinate and schedule appointments or meetings between potential clients and sales representatives.

Keep accurate and up-to-date records of interactions, appointments, and client information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Maintain regular communication with prospects to nurture relationships, address questions or concerns, and ensure commitment to scheduled appointments.

Work closely with the sales team to align strategies, provide appointment updates, and facilitate the handover of qualified leads.

Provide feedback on the effectiveness of outreach strategies, the quality of leads, and any challenges encountered during the appointment-setting process.

Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and best practices in appointment setting to improve performance and results.

Meet or exceed targets for the number of appointments scheduled and the conversion rate of leads into sales opportunities.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Must-haves: In-depth knowledge of the New Zealand/Kiwi market and the ability to adapt sales methods to cater to a small and discerning market.

Experience working with New Zealand clients or companies.

Familiarity with other cybersecurity markets outside of New Zealand.
