Director of Federal Sales

As the Director of Federal Sales, you will help to build out this federal sales model and program which will be unique in the additive manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for managing the relationships between Markforged, our federal distributor and our value-added reseller partners in the federal channel program. These resellers will be a mix of federal resellers and commercial resellers. You may be required to recruit, develop and manage additional VAR partners.
You will spend your time working on large complex deals across multiple levels within the organization and navigating the government procurement processes. Join us as we take additive manufacturing mainstream with the world’s strongest 3D printed parts across the widest range of materials using cloud software.
What will you own?
Vertical SME for the Defense vertical
Drive large, complex deals from lead through to close
Experience navigating large company procurement processes
Drive account strategies and coordinate selling efforts with channel partners to execute a successful sales process with a high win rate
Manage multiple customer opportunities with multiple partners at once while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Build accurate forecasting and an operational cadence with management
Drive reference-able customer satisfaction in your accounts
Expertly demonstrate Markforged technology to end users and execute opportunities with channel partners
What you have:
10+ years of technology solution sales experience
8+ years selling into Federal & Defense vertical
Demonstrated track record of success in opening new markets with disruptive technology
Must have strong technical and business vision with excellent presentation and communication skills
Excellent internal and external networking skills
Ability to thrive in a team atmosphere, appreciate aggressive goals, have excellent organizational/time management skills and a can-do attitude
