The Successful Candidate:

If you are looking for an exciting new place to grow, HBG Design is seeking an experienced Interior Architectural Professional with the ability to be a self-starter and to build upon skills by seeking out responsibilities and learning from past experiences, mistakes, and exposure to other team members. This position requires a specialized understanding of building materials, construction methods and costs, and the ability to interact and appropriately apply building codes and regulations. The successful candidate will also possess high level analytical and problem-solving skills.

Position Responsibilities:

\tWork closely with project teams to translate design concepts into cost-effective and innovative building design solutions by applying knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction methods.

\tUtilize Revit technology to assist in transforming designs and sketches into 3D models and construction documents, while meeting established deadlines and project budgets.

\tAssist in researching and interpreting architectural systems/materials and all applicable codes and regulations to determine and inform appropriate design solutions, as directed by the Interior Project Architect and Senior Interior Designer.

\tAid in documenting and maintaining project design files, to include all design decisions pertaining to material selection and construction methods.

\tParticipate in consult coordination meetings under the direction of the Interior Project Architect, Senior Interior Designer, and Project Manager.

\tAssist the Project Architect and Interior Project Architect in submittal reviews, RFIs, and ASIs, as needed.

Qualifications:

\tLicensed Interior Designer, or an Interior Architectural Professional in process of acquiring hours with intention to pursue exams and licensure.

\tSix (6) years minimum practical experience in documentation and architectural design.

\tBachelors degree from an architectural or interior design school/program.

\tAbility to assist a team in the documentation and/or design of a project.

\tFully competent in all aspects of interior architecture and thorough understanding of the construction process, techniques, materials, and standards.

\tGood communication skills and desire to improve the capabilities of other team members.

\tProficiency in Revit, Sketch-up, Photoshop, and Microsoft Suite.
