The Successful Candidate:
If you are looking for an exciting new place to grow, HBG Design is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead and shape our project experiences and venue designs. Candidate must be a natural self-starter with a positive attitude, the ability to learn from past experiences and mistakes, and an eagerness to actively seek and guide learning opportunities with other designers. This position requires a passion for design through research, travel, and exposure to trends, products, and spaces. The successful candidate will also possess high level analytical and problem-solving skills. The Senior Interior Designer must demonstrate advanced interpersonal skills to lead the project team successfully through the design process.

Position Responsibilities:
\tProvide day-to-day guidance to design staff in the performance of their duties.
\tRegularly evaluate performance of designers, participate in designers performance reviews, and share assessments with Project Managers, Senior Architectural Designer, and other Senior Interior Designers.
\tPromote design excellence for each project and evaluate and establish the level or potential for design quality on each project with regards to client expectations as well as internal goals for the project.
\tDevelop and demonstrate expertise in core markets, including knowledge of design trends in those markets.
\tLead the overall design concept development effort in concert with the Project Manager, Project Architect, and Architectural Designer.
\tDirect the selection of finishes and colors for each project and prepare documents for presentations.
Qualifications:
\tRegistered Interior Designer
\tMinimum 10 years practical experience in interior design, preferably in hospitality.
\tBachelors degree from Interior Design/Interior Architecture program.
\tIs an active member of one or more community or professional industry organizations.
\tThorough understanding of design-related aspects of the project labor budget, construction and FF&E budgets, design and design-related aspects of the construction schedules.
\tKnowledge of building codes and other regulatory requirements that affect the safety and comfort of end users.
\tExceptional presentation, interpersonal, and graphic skills.
\tProficiency in Revit, InDesign, Photoshop, and SketchUp software programs is a must.
