RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform month end close
Prepare routine journal entries as well as adjusting entries when needed (ensuring proper support)
Record all cash receipts and perform bank reconciliation, investigate and resolve outstanding items
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and maintain appropriate support, investigate and resolve reconciling items
Prepare and submit sales and use tax returns
Maintain fixed asset log
Prepare financial statements with variance analysis
Reviewing pending payables
Assist with accounting process documentation
Manage AR and AP support staff
Complete ad hoc requests as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Public accounting experience preferred
CPA preferred
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting
7+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance
Strong understanding of GAAP
Proven ability to problem solve
Proven ability to manage competing deadlines
Strong analytical skills
Highly proficient in MS Office, including advanced Excel skills
SQL and Deltek experience a plus
Strong communication skills
