Job Responsibilities

The Director, Product Marketing, is category responsible for global product strategy, product marketing, go-to-market planning and business management of Razer’s console product category. This person will be focused on overall category strategy and leadership by developing and executing marketing plans and business initiatives to achieve growth, revenue, and profitability targets.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Lead the development and execute global marketing launches and category sustain plans for the Razer console gaming category of products and accessories.

Responsible for BU category forecasts, tracking, and revenue for worldwide console category, P&L management, and drive-to-goal actions.

On the consumer-facing product roadmap for the console gaming category at Razer.

Responsible for all product marketing and product management functions of the Razer console product category.

Lead the development of comprehensive product launch plans for all new product launches, present to internal stakeholders, and drive execution of plans at a detailed level.

Support PR teams through participation, effectively communicate with the outside press, and represent the category, products, and company as required.

Ensure console team preparation and delivery of on-time marketing assets for worldwide sales and communications channels.

Responsible for the development of monthly and quarterly global marketing plans and reports for console product lines to summarize key activities driving revenue and unit growth to meet targets (promotions, launches, PR, events, influencer seedings, collateral creation, digital marketing, etc.).

Lead the strategy development and execution of console products and accessory marketing activities for all regions, working closely with global and regional cross-functional teams.

Function as global console product marketing point of contact for internal stakeholders including sales, regional marketing teams, PR, community, technical support, business development, operations, and finance.

Represent Razer at public-facing events, and customer, and partner meetings, as requested.

Attend relevant trade shows, join, and lead meetings, work booth and meet partners.

Global product category expert for all technical-related questions related to console gaming products and accessories.

Lead and drive strategy and reporting calls with high-level global stakeholders to ensure product updates and execution of product and marketing initiatives are delivered to help drive growth.

Understand the market and competitive offerings of current and potential growth console product offerings, their impact on current and future offerings, and develop a strategy to

Lead analysis of data from all sources (market, press, customers, forums, etc.) to drive feedback on business and market requirements into the product planning process to drive and shape console product roadmaps.

Drive team input into creative strategy and provide the final approval of console product range content, including packaging, advertising, web content & marketing, and retail merchandising.

Work with outside vendors and strategic partners to drive initiatives and actions that help support overall product and business initiatives.

Qualifications

Pre-Requisites :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in category or product marketing in the consumer electronics industry; peripheral hardware highly preferred with experience in gaming a big plus.

Experience leading roadmap development and GTM execution of consumer technology products with a track record of successful launches.

Experience leading the development and overseeing execution of global marketing plans.

Experience with gaming or consumer electronics sales channels: retail, carrier, direct, online and distribution.

Able to write marketing copy and provide design direction on creative including digital marketing, web merchandising, print ads, video, graphics, etc.

Has previously developed detailed marketing plans and was involved in articulating the strategy and requirements for success.

Can work independently, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills including ability to successfully interact with executive management.

Experience in working in a Global company leading cross functional international project teams with responsibility for the output of non-directly managed colleagues.

Must have Microsoft Office Experience: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Education/Experience

College degree in Marketing or other related discipline or equivalent experience. MBA a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role supervises a team of two or more employees.

Travel Requirements

Travel as needed – approximately 15% of the time, domestic and / or international.

Salary Ranges (per Annum)

$139,620.00 - $232,700.00
