About your role:

We seek a Director of Product Marketing to help our rapidly growing organization build a world-class product marketing function. As a Director of Product Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies. You will build and lead a team of product marketers and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the successful launch and growth of existing, new, and emerging products in our two-sided marketplace. You will own the success of the launch, activation, and adoption of our generosity-obsessed products and experiences as measured by KPIs including but not limited to product usage, NPS, ARPU, LTV, and % of consistent givers. If you are a player-coach who has a bias towards a deep understanding of customers vs. competition, we would like to speak to you.

Your team:

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will be surrounded by a brilliant team of passionate people with an unwavering commitment to success. You will closely collaborate with marketing pros in brand, customer, content, and growth to achieve business objectives. Your closest cross-functional partners will include product, customer success, data science, and business development.

As a Director of Product Marketing, you will get to:

Product Positioning and Messaging: Develop clear and compelling product positioning and messaging that resonate with target audiences and fuel donor generosity. Create and maintain a messaging framework that guides marketing and business development efforts.

B2B and B2C Persona Development: Develop and refine personas, including their key behaviors, goals, and problems to solve. Grow Givelify team members’ understanding of our customers and opportunities to meet their needs.

Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead the development of go-to-market strategies for new product launches and updates. Collaborate with product management, customer success, and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches.

Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities. Translate market insights into actionable strategies to drive product growth.

Voice of the Customer : understand and share why customers buy and their buying criteria. Collect and analyze customer feedback to inform product, positioning, and messaging improvements.

Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing product marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence. Mentor and develop team members to drive their professional growth.

To be successful in this role, you’ll also:

Build a deep understanding of target audiences using personas, empathy maps, ethnographies, social listening, etc., to understand behavioral patterns, needs, and motivators.

Ensure the readiness of business development and customer success by equipping them with knowledge, processes, and collateral for attracting new customers and growing product adoption post-customer acquisition.

Collect, curate, and own the impact of inspiring success stories from customers in support of product positioning, awareness, messaging and campaigns.

Balance internal and external stakeholder needs by sharing, receiving feedback, and iterating.

Ensure that the Givelify website reflects product, company, and market positioning.

Monitor, track, and report on product marketing metrics for ongoing optimization.

Your experience:

8+ years of relevant, demonstrable experience in product marketing, including 4+ years as a team leader

Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing | MBA or MS in marketing, business, or a similar field is a plus

Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce), open-source CMS (WordPress/Webflow), project management and collaboration tools (Asana, Slack, Mural), A/B testing, analytics, data, and measuring platforms (Google Analytics, Tableau, AppCues, CleverTap)

Hands-on experience in both B2B and B2C marketing

Certification(s) in product or customer marketing is a plus

Experience working in non-profit, faith-based, or SaaS organizations is a plus
