Our client is an extremely successful 10 year IT/Digital Marketing leader 80 employee start-up, who serves over 1000 clients with headquarters in Northern suburbs (conveniently located 5 minutes from the RED/PURPLE CTA LINE). They are looking for a #1 HR Director with specific focus as an HR Generalist, Talent management, HR Business Partner, Retention, Recruitment to join their team and help them achieve strategical HR goals. This is a highly prioritized, crucial role for the organization that will be reporting directly to the COO. There will be very strategic and hands on managing over a team of 3 HR people including HR Specialist, Recruiter, and Office Manager. Talent attraction and engagement is a big part of the role but you will be also responsible for compliance, benefits & compensation, organizational development, training & development, HRIS, and other strategic HR projects. Recruiting will be primarily done by the recruiter. Talent retention is a priority for early career sales and technical staff.

Bachelor's degree required, Master's and PHR/SHRM-CP preferred along with 8+ years of experience in HR leadership roles. Coming from another fast pace marketing, advertising, IT, sales, or consulting company highly desirable.

This is a small company so they need an HR business leader who is independent enough to handle any HR projects with out resources (assigning HR to other people) from time to time.
