JOB DESCRIPTION WTTG/WDCA TV – Account Executive (Regular Full-Time)

FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus has an amazing opportunity for an experienced account executive to generate digital and broadcast advertising revenue for Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia’s top local news television station. JOB SUMMARY: You will be responsible for all aspects of accounts, generating new business, selling OTT and CTV platforms, and the creation and sale of unique multi-screen promotional sponsorships. Work independently and with sales management to implement strategies to maintain strong client and agency relationships, consistently grow revenue, and exceed revenue goals. Present and negotiate all aspects of the Stations and digital offerings. Deliver unique and valuable packages to new and existing clients. Meet and communicate with clients regularly to help expedite the closing process. Prepare and deliver sales presentations to clients. Process transactional business. Work with clients and station personnel to develop advertising schedules. Timely management of accounts and administrative tasks. Maintain a high level of communication with station and corporate management, sales staff and all station personnel. Participate in sales trainings and meetings.

WHAT YOU ARE BRINGING:

3+ years professional experience in Sales, Account Management, and/or Business Development, preferably in a TV sales environment.

College degree preferred.

Experience developing new business, with a record of digital success.

Skilled negotiator and motivator.

Excellent organizational, time management, written & verbal communication skills.

Digitally savvy. Proficiency with computers and cloud-based communication applications. Experience with WideOrbit preferred.

Ability to accurately forecast revenue based on client pending and pipelines.

Must have or be willing to obtain reliable transportation and have a valid driver’s license. Local travel and entertainment, weekends, holidays and varied hours may be required.
