About the Role
The Managing Director role at the company's Chicago Boutique is a key leadership position with a focus on providing extraordinary service to clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the business, including building sales, client development, and service, as well as coaching and counseling staff.The Managing Director will oversee the management team, ensure high morale, and drive results through excellent people management. They will also be involved in strategic decision-making, maintaining operational controls, and managing the buying process. The ideal candidate should be a natural and dynamic leader, with a proven track record of running a high-volume store and a strong sense of personal style. The role requires a strategic, open-minded individual who is not afraid of change, and who can effectively partner with all corporate departments to ensure the boutique is well supported in achieving its goals.This role requires a minimum of 6 years' of experience, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree and a background in store management or flagship assistant store management. The candidate should have a strong background in client services, policy interpretation, and decision-making, with the ability to represent leadership for the entire store. Supervisory and budget responsibilities are also a key part of this role, as is the ability to maintain a high level of service and manage the boutique's P&L, sales goals, and inventory results. The Managing Director should be a great communicator, with experience in a luxury seeking clientele, and be sensitive to a multi-cultural environment. Travel is required, including annual trips to Paris, and knowledge of the French language is helpful.
