Liquidity Services Retail division helps retailers and brand manufacturers maximize the value of their returns and excess inventory. To support the next phase of our growth, we are seeking a qualified VP of Sales to act as a player-coach in selling our services to our top Enterprise prospects.
The VP of Sales will have a strong understanding of the B2B Enterprise sales process, excelling at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. This role is focused primarily on the acquisition of new customers. Our ideal candidate will have a successful track record of leading teams to closing large-scale complex deals with B2B Enterprises and the ability to showcase our service offerings in a compelling way.
Job Duties:
Coach sales professionals within the Retail vertical to achieve their goals. Provide performance feedback and development to improve performance
Build and execute an effective prospect targeting strategy. Lead sales and marketing teams to execute lead generation campaigns to support this strategy
Manage the end-to-end sales pipeline
Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge to have meaningful conversations with prospects
Perform analytics to make data-driven decisions and recommendations
Take consultative approach with prospects, supporting their business challenges and requirements
Create powerful sales presentations and proposals and deliver those presentations in a compelling manner to senior executives and decision makers
Coordinate and lead internal cross-functional discussions with Operations, IT, Finance, Marketing, and Legal to address customer requirements
Provide forecasts on best case and most likely sales volumes over relevant time periods
Provide feedback to company management on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise team of 4-7 including Sales Executives, Sales Development and Marketing
Education/ Experience :
Bachelor’s degree required
5+ years of corporate sales and marketing leadership
10+ years of Quota-carrying Enterprise B2B sales experience
Retail supply chain, reverse logistics industry experience
Professional network within the Retail industry at C-level or VP level
Skills :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be highly organized and detail oriented; accurate and timely
Proficient in MS Office, HubSpot or other CRM
Strong problem-solving skills and creativity
Interpersonal skills for selling to the C-Suite
Ability :
Ability to motivate a global sales force
Ability to turn data into actionable insights
Ability to productively collaborate with other work groups – Operations, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal
