The Director of Career Services is responsible for all Career Services staff and activities related to student transition from graduation to workforce planning.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including problem-solving and decision-making
Maintain a positive attitude and strong student focus to inspire, engage, and coach potential students
Proven self-starter who continually pursues learning opportunities
In the Director of Career Services role, you will:
Plan, develop and administer career development assistance programs for students, graduates and alumni
Builds effective relationships with industry constituents and other partners to identify employment opportunities
Create and develop new strategies to support graduating students
Maintains department compliance with government accreditation, and other regulatory bodies
Carry out supervisory responsibilities which include the following: planning, assigning, and directing work of subordinates; appraising their performances; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Complete weekly and/or monthly reports as directed
Identify critical problems, develops solutions, and coordinate the necessary personnel to implement solutions
Partner with compliance regarding placement verification and documentation processes and policies.
Requirements

Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to work individually and within a group
Excellent written and communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and CampusVue
Goal oriented

Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, perform well under pressure, meet deadlines and work flexible hours.
Candidates must be able to successfully pass a criminal history check and drug test.
