Director of Respiratory Services
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Weekends/On-call: as determined by leadership
Requirements:
holds the following license; LRT, BLS
POSITION DETAILS
We are looking for a Director of Respiratory Services who will direct and coordinate activities of assigned departments. Aids leadership in formulation and administration of organization policies by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff.
Recommends establishment or revision of policies, procedures, and methods and develops organizational structure and standards of performance.
Advises and assists staff in planning and developing administrative and operational policies and procedures, facilities use and planning, and strategic planning.
Interprets policies and objectives of areas of responsibility to staff and community groups.
Analyzes and evaluates overall patient care program.
Develops and promotes cooperative working relationships with other provider agencies, and with other departments.
Directs the preparation and monitoring of assigned departments budgets.
Represents the company before various civic, professional, educational, and business groups to discuss, market, interpret, and explain policies and programs and to foster good public relations.
Develops and delivers presentations/case studies associated with seminars, care conferences or sales support for internal or external audiences.
Responsible for activities related to assigned departments to ensure patient needs are met in accordance with physician orders, company policies and procedures and professional standards of care.
Assumes designated responsibilities of the Vice President of Operations as required.
Ensures company compliance with applicable accreditation, licensing and quality control standards.
Consults with senior management on problems and interpretations of company policies to ensure patient needs are met.
Attends departmental and corporate staff meetings.
Seeks ways to improve and promote quality by participating in departmental and corporate quality improvement activities.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Graduate of an accredited respiratory program with 5-7 years respiratory experience and 4-6 years supervisory experience required. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited respiratory program is preferred.
