Senior Payroll Specialist

Cordia Resources is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multi-state payroll processing, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and assisting with payroll planning and analysis. Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Costpoint is preferred, and strong Excel skills are required.
Role is primarily remote. Need to come in occasionally for meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
Multi-State Payroll Processing: Manage and process payroll for employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state-specific regulations.
Compliance: Stay up to date with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Ensure all payroll practices are compliant and make recommendations for policy updates as needed.
ADP Workforce Now and Costpoint: Utilize ADP Workforce Now and Costpoint for payroll processing and reporting. Ensure data integrity and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Employee Changes: Maintain and update payroll records for new hires, terminations, salary changes, and other adjustments.
Reporting: Generate, review, and analyze payroll reports. Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by management.
Audit Support: Assist with internal and external payroll audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations and data accuracy.
Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience, with a focus on multi-state payroll.
Software Proficiency: Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Costpoint is preferred. Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present payroll data effectively.
Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all payroll tasks.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of handling sensitive and confidential information.
Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues promptly.
