Team / division overview

As part of the Treasurer's Office group within DWS Client Coverage Operation (CCO) division, you will support our Expense Management team to ensure all billable expenses for mutual funds, exchange traded funds (ETFs) and collective investment trusts (CITs) are calculated and paid accurately to DWS Investment Management Americas, Inc (DIMA) business and third-party vendors. You will also oversee expense budget review. You will interface with various DWS group - Corporate Finance, Product, and Legal on a regular basis. This is a great opportunity to build relationships, expand your skillset, and gain product knowledge within the asset management industry.

Role Details

Calculate affiliated bill payments for investment products responsible in the team; Perform trend analysis on asset-based fees to ensure payment accuracy.

Review budgets prepared by fund accounting vendor to ensure that expense budgets and associated accrual changes are completed accurately and by deadlines.

Own all aspects of invoice processing from 3rd party and affiliated party; verify the accuracy and receipt of goods; match documentation including purchase orders.

Oversee fund accounting vendor's performance as related to the expense and budgeting process. Ensure vendor meets deadlines and provides quality output.

Participate on project teams as required and interface with other DWS groups, such as Finance, Legal, Product, and others to achieve project goals.

Prepare information required by the Funds' Boards of Directors/Trustees ensuring complete accuracy of financial information, written content and presentation. Information may include but is not limited to : contract renewal schedules, audit committee expense reports, analysis of expense changes from prior periods, memos to Directors explaining new events, and more.

Suggest improvements to workflow and procedures on a continual basis to champion change and achieve operational excellence.

Independently identify risk areas and develop effective and innovative monitoring tools to mitigate risk and the potential for errors.

Review and approve expense-related information in financial statements and fund prospectuses. Interface with funds' auditors to resolve audit questions and ensure accurate financial statements.

We are looking for

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 1-2 years of industry experience

Excellent computer skills to include proficiency in MS Excel and Word

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to work independently and handle heavy volume within deadlines.
