Company Description
Brightspeed has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Event and Change Management to join our rapidly growing team! As the Manager, Network Planning, you will oversee a team of Event and Change Management Specialists responsible for interfacing with the network operations centers (NOC) to understand the scope and status of network outages, as well as other internal stakeholders to assess impacts of planned maintenance. This team is responsible for regulatory reporting of network outages and identifying customer impact associated with network outages or maintenance and communicating to customers. This team is also responsible for hosting recurring Network Reliability Calls to deep dive network outages and for coordinating Emergency Incident Response Team (EIMT) to manage network impacts related to wide-scale network impact.
Job Description
As Manager, Network Planning your responsibilities will include:
Responsible for managing a 24x7 team of 12-15 Event and Change Management Specialists
Work across functional teams, such as NOC, Dispatch, Enterprise Repair, and Regulatory and Compliance, to address root cause of issues to improve regulatory reporting and outage and maintenance customer communications
Provide and review monthly reports to management on team performance
Develop KPI, scorecards, and analytics reporting to demonstrate track and report individual performance
Build team technical skill sets to better understand and interpret network impacts
Performing management of team including regular feedback, annual appraisals, and salary administration
Balancing multiple priorities and initiating innovative solutions to streamline processes
Promote collaboration and team building through effective communication skills
Understanding and explaining complex technical information
Providing technical leadership and supporting team members with day-to-day problem resolution
Occasional travel required to meet with employees and leadership
Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
8+ years Telecommunication experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical work experience
Ability to work in appropriate Microsoft Office applications (MS WORD, PowerPoint, EXCEL, TEAMS) and other production and reporting systems
Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
Innovative, analytical thinker and decision maker
Strong problem solving and execution skills in driving transformation and change
Exemplary written communication skills. Must have the ability to understand technical network language and be able to translate to laymen's terms for customers
Must be able to develop and implement new processes and procedures that will increase productivity while lowering cost
Ability to motivate others and work under pressure
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to articulate via written and through oral communication
BONUS POINTS FOR:
Prior industry experience in regulatory reporting
Prior industry experience working in a NOC
Experienced supervision in an Operations environment
Experience executing multiple, simultaneous business transformation and process changes
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical work experience
