IT System Engineer
As an IT System Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT Systems. The right candidate for this role will have 3-5 years of experience in IT systems engineering and network administration, strong attention to detail and shares our passion for delivering genuine hospitality.
Key Responsibilities/Functions
Design, implement, and maintain IT systems, including servers (on-premise/Azure Cloud), workstations, and associated software.
Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet organizational needs.
Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with IT teams to support system upgrades, migrations, and integration. Network Administration:
Establish and maintain network standards and procedures in line with industry best practices.
Manage and maintain local network systems, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
Ensure network security, implementing and monitoring access controls and security protocols.
Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, both on-site and remotely.
Participate in network planning and design, and work with Project Leads on network-related projects. Collaboration and Support:
Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users, addressing system and network issues promptly.
Work with the Service Desk team to represent the technical support function.
Collaborate with Project Leads to assess and implement new software releases and hardware upgrades.
Support the roll-out of PCs, software, and hardware, ensuring smooth adoption.
Assist in the management of equipment and personnel in local and remote locations.
Participate in major projects, including software and hardware installations, occasionally taking the lead in coordinating project activities.
Provide Tier III/other support per request from various occasions. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted associates.
Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
Configure/add new services as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of experience in IT systems engineering and network administration.
Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, desktop operating systems, networking, security, and server software.
Proficiency in Microsoft MDM software, Intune.
Proficiency in Networking with Cisco Meraki.
Proficiency in mixed Windows environments.
Knowledge of virtualization for both servers and desktops, including Azure and VMware.
Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software, on-site and remotely.
Approachable and attentive to end-users' needs.
Experience in coordinating and participating in IT projects.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
