Director of Sales
We are looking for a Director of Sales to lead our sales team into the future! The Director of Sales is a key member of our executive team and is responsible for the overall strategy and leadership of sales operations - selling to residential, commercial and industrial customers in the Power, Propane and Autogas sector. We are committed to excellence, with over 200 employees serving 14 unique markets throughout Washington, Oregon, California, Utah, and Arizona. Experience with propane is not required but a plus.

The right candidate will be a Salesforce 'guru' and will work with our sales team to develop foundational sales structure and sales strategies, encourage accountability and follow up and be a hands-on sales director! SOMEONE WHO "KNOWS WHAT A GOOD SALES TEAM LOOKS LIKE!"
Compensation: Total on target earnings: $175,000 -265,000
Location: Santa Rosa - Hybrid – Ideal candidate will be within one hour of Sonoma County Airport. Travel as required in western states via company aircraft as needed.
SUMMARY
Working with other executive team members, the right candidate identifies key market opportunities and develops and executes growth plans to capitalize on those opportunities.
The Director of Sales is responsible for hiring, training, managing, and guiding sales staff in the successful achievement of growth targets. In addition, you will provide support to inside salespeople (RSA's) and division managers.
This position also collaborates with the Director of Marketing to create successful marketing campaigns and events. Occasional marketing and trade show setup and onsite support will also be required.
Must demonstrate a high degree of accountability, integrity, possess superior interpersonal and customer service skills, and be adept at building strong relationships with staff at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
A bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or marketing and a minimum of 5 years related experience in propane sales, equipment sales, or sales management are preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent project management capability.
Adept at using Microsoft Office and other software systems.
Ability to understand related industry codes, standards, and laws and how they will impact the sales cycle as well as customer agreements and installations.
