CSuite Financial Partners -Reston, VA, United States CSuite Financial Partners has been retained by our client, a pre-acquisition Surgical and Medical Supply wholesaler located in Reston, VA to place a Senior Accounting Manager, preferred fully onsite.
Specializing in selling surgical/operating room/general medical supplies to hospitals and surgical centers, this start-up company has experienced significant & impressive growth since its inception and is poised for continued exciting growth in the future!
The Senior Accounting Manager will be a hands-on, working leader, acting in a visible and important position to support the continued growth of the company. This role will be responsible for the areas of GL Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, finance reporting, invoicing, reconciliations, and partnering with the in-house bookkeeper with Month End Close Process. The position reports directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
General Ledger, journal entries, month-end close process, account reconciliations, prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
establish accurate product costs, analyzing variances, inventory valuation and control.
Support development of forecasts, budgets, and key strategic business plans.
Establish processes and procedures to track, review and present key operating metrics and cost savings initiatives to drive continuous improvement in costs and margins.
Billing, A/R, Cash Applications, and Credit/Collections.
Manage Accounts Payable.
Monthly accounting/financial reporting.
Fixed Asset accounting and tracking.
Sales and Use Taxes.
Cash flow management.
Manage all audits including but not limited to payroll, taxes, insurance, etc.
Responsible for all financial systems and accounting controls within area of responsibility.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance.
Accounting designation – CPA preferred (but not required)
Minimum 5-7 years’ combined experience on accounting, finance, and payroll with 2 years management experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong analytical and organizational skills. Able to prioritize and get tasks done.
Able to work independently and take initiative.
Self-motivated and goal oriented. Proven ability to establish goals and meet them.
Able to lead, coach and train others & demonstrated ability to establish and manage KPIs.
Proven ability to create and maintain policies and procedures (SOPs).
Systems experience: Expertise in QuickBooks & strong Excel skills.
Experience with inventory management platforms
Private Equity environment experience preferred.
Compensation:
10-15% discretionary bonus
