Who We Are:

We have a deep love for space, simulation, strategy, and of course all things video games. Our studio prioritizes an inviting and diverse workplace that pushes creativity and passion for what we do, resulting in games that we can truly be proud of. We believe that by creating an environment of trust, potential for growth, psychological safety, Engineering Excellence, and fun, we can ship some of the most amazing experiences in the world of interactive entertainment.

The Challenge

Are you an enthusiastic software engineer looking to join a team built on mutual respect and continuous learning? Are you able to tackle problems amidst ambiguity, and are the kind of teammate who always follows through on your commitments? If so, this may be the role for you!

As a Senior Software Engineer on our team, you will collaborate with artists, designers and engineers to brainstorm, prototype, and implement systems that drive us to shipping games our players will love. This includes our visual effects systems, tools used by artists, and rendering systems.

What You'll Take On

Deliver solutions at the product level of impact, thinking in terms of accurate functionality, maintainability, usability and performance.

Prototype new functionality and explore new experiences, with the goal of eventually rolling these into full production.

Help the team evolve by working beyond assigned systems to enhance the engineering and delivery experience across the project.

Contribute to processes and large-scale tools that improve product quality, including automated testing, metrics, build systems, release systems, and cross-platform compatibility and performance.

What You Bring

A customer-oriented focus on working with artists and designers to bring their ideas and art to life. This requires clear and concise communication skills, capable of working closely with a diverse team of peers.

6+ years of experience with Unreal rendering, lighting and effects systems.

A broad knowledge and experience with graphics APIs (Metal, Vulkan, DirectX) shader programming (HLSL and MSL)

Proficiency in modern C++ (we use c++20)

Exposure to developing software for shipping games on the Desktop, Xbox, or PlayStation platforms.
