Full job description
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for lump sum bids, budgets and value engineering. Looking for Senior Estimator as well as mid-level Estimators.
Job Responsibilities
? Conduct analysis of drawings and specifications to ensure required information is provided.
? Develop cost estimate using the guidelines established by the Estimating Department
Conduct a complete review of plans and specification and Identify all scope of work
Highlight any scope that is unclear or has been omitted
? Ability to review other estimates and provide meaningful insight
? Provide detailed quantity survey of specific trade and input information electronically via company software.
? Attend bid site walks and scope review meetings
? Provide detailed unit prices for quantities and review data with department head.
? Produce quantitative surveys and accurate pricing for projects
? Obtain and present unit pricing data
? Outlining clarifications and qualifications within an estimate.
? Provide back up for estimates to be used during analysis and review.
? Possess and apply knowledge of unit prices and the material/labor component.
? Compile complete estimate/bid package breakdown
Qualifications
? A minimum of 7-10 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
? Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including excel
? Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels, both internal and external
? Use of computer estimating software programs
Job Skills & Abilities
? Understanding of market pricing and trends
? Understanding of Conceptual estimation
? Requires an understanding of selected software (Building Connected, Microsoft Office)
? Ability to meet critical deadlines
? Ability to work as a part of a team
