Overview:
DOBCO, INC . - Nominated for the NJBIZ - BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD IN 2022, we are a successful, privately owned NJ public work sector General Contractor located in Wayne, NJ with multi-million dollar projects throughout the NY / NJ area. We are in need of hiring a dedicated, experienced and hard-working Estimator.
The Estimator will be able to successfully perform and manage the following duties:
· Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications
· Evaluates offers to purchase by site requirements, additions and costing changes
· Resolves cost differences by analyzing and collecting information
· Writes up and presents budgets, reports and project plans
· Develops bids for construction projects and delivers bids on specific due dates
· Navigates and understands building codes
· Processes paperwork and travels to building sites as required
· Monitors construction processes
· Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction
· CPM scheduling and coordination of trades
· Value engineering
Qualifications and Skills:
· Strong mathematic skills
· Ability to navigate specifications and plans
· Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects
· Management and estimation of multiple construction projects simultaneously
· Prioritizing trades and meeting deadlines
· Knowledge of the latest building codes
· Detail oriented
· Excellent written, verbal, multi-tasking and time-management skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
· A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, architecture or a similar field
· Hands-on experience with Primavera, OCS On-Screen Take Off, MS Project, Excel, Work and Outlook
· 5-10 years of related experience
