Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including country club renovations, office buildings, retail spaces, restaurants, big box, and warehouse construction. Our bid board is currently full, and we require someone who can efficiently handle pre-construction budgets, estimates, and multiple requests for proposals (RFPs) from both new clients and our existing big box retail clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates
Work on pre-construction budgets, detailed estimates, and RFPs
Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects during the bidding process
Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier bids
Keep abreast of industry developments, pricing trends, and regulations
Ensure timely submission and accuracy of bids
Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Construction Estimator
Strong understanding of construction processes and materials
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
Proficient in relevant estimating software
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints
B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
